wonderful. not just because there aren't many portable games out there, which entertained me as much as this did. got strong associations bound on that title, but it's also very well done from an illustrator's point of view :)
I'd like to see a Zelda-Intro like that from Wind Waker, told through such a graphic style, carved in stone; would look awesome.
Yeah, I could talk about the metaphors and themes of this game for way too long. Playing through it as an adult, I realize Link's Awakening has a story that is a lot deeper than "save the princess".
This brings back memories of staying up late under my sheets playing this on my Gameboy with the lamp attachment. The shrill 8-bit music is in my head now. I love this illustration!
