I always felt the old style plastic remote a lot of character. I still have the one that came with my 2006 MacBook Pro (back when Apple included them). Use it all the time. After 5 years, battery replaced once.
So I replaced the aluminum version in my theme with the above. Spent hours on the gradients to get them just right. For such a simplistic icon, this one was time consuming. Fun though. Learned a lot about subtlety.

The gradients look great!

Gradients look smooth as butter but what's going on with the play/pause/etc glyphs? Some are nice and sharp, others are fuzzy and light. This may be a LCD vs. retina display issue, so if so, never mind.
