@Hannibal, I mean Pete. Thanks :)
@Milosz, thank my man.
@Rudy, appreciate the comment bud!
@Andrej, scratch is good if it leads to something better :)
@Maarten, thank you - cheers!
@Mike, hmm...I see what you're talking about, the serifs on the 'X' do seem thicker. Gonna fix that now, thanks for the watchful eye! :)
@Mike, haha thanks as always man! :)
The serifs are great, especially on the „T“.
Is it on purpose, that the two thin strokes at the „M“ have different weights? The space between „IL“ seems a tiny bit too narrow in my eyes.
This is such a fantastic shot Joe, I love it. Very different direction from the other design for this project - this feels strong and elegant while the other is more friendly and casual. Your lettering is gorgeous (I adore that 'T'!) and it suits the all caps Gotham setting of the tagline perfectly too.
I see what Jonas means about the spacing around 'I-L', although I think it's more-so 'L-E' that's a bit too loose.
@Kevin, haha thanks man! I'd love to invent something one day - would be cool to go down in history for that :)
@Julius, cheers!
@Jonas, thanks for the critique! If you are referencing the two different weights of each side of the 'M' then that's just a common style for serif-style fonts. If you look at some fonts on your computer you will see the two different weights like that. Same would go for uppercase characters like 'A, M, U, V, W, etc.' as you notice. Thanks for noticing the kerning on /IL/ btw...will take care of that!
@Mark, cheers!
@Ivan, thanks brother :)
@Claire, it is a very different direction and I wanted to present it to the client as an option to explore. I felt a nicely designed serif font paired with the beautiful sans Gotham would be well-suited for what they do. As Jonas mentioned I'll definitely take care of the kerning. Felt like posting a sketch kind of like what you do - very inspiring :) I just wished I sketched more for the fonts (as you know I do it differently) because I would be able to upload more shots like this instead of finished designs, haha. Cheers CC!

Another option for Homiletix - the serif type is all custom. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

This is great, Joe. I love to see your process shots.
One thing I see: I don't know if it's an issue of the rendering but the serifs on the X look thicker than the others.
