This is a concept I've had in mind for maps. The purple arrow is zooming though, lifting the corners of the paper.

I have really been liking your icons recently, you have a great style! Plus, I am really looking forward to this theme.
Indeed, the talent is strong with this one.
The corner curl effect is so damn clever! For some reason though, I would like to see what this looks like with the curls evenly spaced. Although that might defeat the purpose.
Either way, I'm rambling, this is great work!
The wooden base and the page curls are damn awesome, maybe try another colour for the arrow though :)
Very nice concept. I like it! One thing.... the back of the plane looks pixelated. Other than that, it is awesome.
absolutely love this!
Wow, so sharp, I love it! And the concept is great.
Thanks everybody I appreciate it a lot!
The purpose is rather the top curl takes most of the wind and the small one calms down but I can take your suggestion to evenly space them and proportionally diminishing the radius of the corners might do the trick.
This is the color of the arrow in maps, but other colors can work :)
Yeah its a little harsh there that needs some anti alias
No filters or anything! I hope it looks awesome on the Retina.
Could you share that wood texture? It's fantastic.
Wood Textures by Artbees good thing I twittered it or else I would have lost the link
@balderoine thanks so much. It's appreciated.
@balderoine I can't get anywhere near the effect you have here, how did you get the wood to look so contrasty..? If you don't mind me asking.
I used two layers
Base - solid color> layer style: white to transparent gradient> set gradient to Soft Light
Top - Wood texture> greyscale it> set to Soft Light
tip: play with the levels of the pattern image itself to get more contrast
@balderoine Thanks so much for the advice. :D It means a lot that you took the time to help me out.
This is amazing! Keep it up!

@Joseph Myers Thanks bro! Here's the current revised version http://d.pr/i/yby4 .
Nice update! I like the darker wooden and the arrow looks much sharper :)
