So I am trying to rebrand myself of what really represents me where I am now as a designer. I made some new textures as well and wanted to experiment with those as well. I finally finished my wood pattern too so hopefully I can get that out to you guys soon!

I like this man. Any reason why the black N doesn't have the highlight in the inside?
Thanks Herson! I always appreciate you feedback? Do you have any suggestions on how to make it better?
I updated my fist comment, check it out
I think the wood has more character, but I like them both.
Hmmm goood question! I didn't want to have to much highlights... just simple that is all you know
Maybe you could try branding your 'N' to be recognizable without style, and then add accordingly. Check out the City of Melbourne identity for an example.
Nick, I actually like the wooden "N" my only question would be how is it going to look when used in a small size?
That is good point I mean if it is smaller... I would have to beef up the strokes and I probably have to tweak the wood grain so it would work! But, that is a good point!
i think the black one is more portable, man. like it can be super tiny and yet the details can be pointed out. also, even though you've been doing a lot of wood grain work lately, its not what ultimately defines everything you design.
What about checking the black one with the wooden ones highlights?
I like the wood grain but I don't know about for a logo. Wood grains are in for now but for how long. Keep exploring Nick whatever you end up using would be dope.
I love the wooden one, but I'd replace the wood with a solid color + texture like the 1st one, that could look good!
But the first one on its own is a bit too standard, has not enough style to represent you!!
Pimppp I like it no wood texture. Show me this texture man!!
Wood texture looks like it's going to be awesome, doesn't fit this piece as much as the black one though.
its ok,but its not standing out from the crowd enough, you need to work more on it man,i like the wood pattern one but it is not the key element to represent you well enough, just keep working on it man u will find the result am sure
i LOVE the first one, sweet texture man!
Man you guys rock! Love the feedback! Certainly, I am exploring and I bet you all know how challenging it is making a logo for yourself.
I think its the hardest thing in design, since you are your own client, and you want it to be perfect!
Nick, I love the idea of iterating more on your original monogram, but using this new textured look or even better yet, the wood grain, and pushing that stuff. Keep it up! :D
@Gerren: That means a lot to me man! Thank you so much for the support man!
That wood texture is awesome!
I love the woodgrain one, but not sure how portable it is. It would be nice to see the dimension from the woodgrain applied to the black version. Either way I dig it and I know how hard it is to design for yourself.
My impression of your brand is similar to that of Vinyl Toy Companies (Really Cool stuff in my eyes). On another note, it's hard to be a rough texture with highlights. They contradict one another. Black & Smooth has Highlights. Wooden and Rough has Matte.
