   Curious, though, what a cross-section of the buttons would look like (i.e., are the numbers embossed, impressed, flat? Does the colored portion form a raised a lip on the bottom? which parts rise above the surrounding chrome?).

   @Kurt you bring up a good point. the 'calculate' button has an embossed icon, yet the numerals do not. that doesn't do much for the consistency, does it? thanks for catching that, & stay tuned.
