   @Kyle — Ah yes, I did debate making it nice and square, with even space on all sides. I decided on the tighter left and right padding in the hope that it would look like highlighting. I'm trying to treat the icons as if they were glyphs, sitting on the baseline, evenly kerned and spaced out by a break. Maybe it would be more obvious if the left side of the type was visible in the screenshot, or maybe you're right and it's just weird. We'll have to experiment when we go to code. Thanks for the feedback.
