This is a glimpse into the crazy (and often complicated) process of type designing. It's a blend of choosing the right characters, creating custom guides, and pulling out one's hair on occasion. The artwork doesn't always align perfectly with the photo of the subject, but in the end it all works out.
Awesome! Like Christopher said above, I wouldn't even know where to start. But, now that I do, I kinda wanna give this a try. Thanks for the inside look Cameron!
Thanks for the glimpse into your process. To echo the other comments, I have no idea how you have the patience to complete one of these but they're amazing! Can't wait to see the finished piece.
Thanks for this glimpse into your process, Cameron. I think these kinds of process posts are going to be Dribbble's biggest asset. I'm sure it's been said, but it reminds me of the old Screen Grab Confab days.
I've always wondered how you begin something like this. "Often complicated" makes it sounds like sometimes it's a walk in the park! Haha, I guess the hair-pulling shows the other side of the coin.

Or at least I hope it does...

I'll be honest, I never had any idea how you would even start a project like this. It's very cool to get a sneak peek into the process...

This, to me, is the definition of tedious. I dunno how you do it! Looks great so far. :)

Is that a rebound to my work Cameron? :)
Loved the one before this more than this one. It was too brilliant. This is more like work in progress IMHO.

I would never be able to do this. I don't have the patience. We're fortunate that you do Cameron. So awesome.

Great stuff! For me, this is exactly what Dribbble is for... a total win for design insights all around. Can't wait to see the finished product.

It's pretty neat to see this process. Owning one of these will mean a little more knowing what all goes into it.

Indeed. Those were good days, weren't they. That could have been the low-fi, oldschool Dribbble predecessor...
