I prefer this to the previous. Less is more! Maybe try without the lines? As you have circles for the clouds, straight edges for the tooltip, 45 deg angle shading and then straight lines?
Thanks for the feedback. This seems to be the winner! Well, on twitter I think it was the 3D one.
No lines, eh? Hmm.. I tried without, but somehow it looked a bit flat and I kinda like them.. gives it some texture and a bit a tech look. It's like those solar panels or some digital display. And the highlight makes it appear like it's behind glass, kinda like the Apple logo on top of a MacBook.
It would be too confusing if I tried to explain this, so I present this screenshot to you, hoping it would help sell the behind-the-glass-kinda-like-the-Apple-logo-on-top-of-a-MacBook look.
The easy way to do this would be to add a 2 px inner stroke and turn the opacity on it all the way down, and then do a white inner glow. kind of makes it look like the edges are a bit rounded inwards and not perfectly even with the surface.
I also prefer this version to the last one. It doesn't look as "heavy".
I like this. I feel like the bottom edges could use a tight drop shadow, to give it a little bit of dimension. I also like what Michal did. and maybe a highlight coming from the bottom

Almost every time.. the moment I post something to Dribbble, I already hate it and want to change stuff.
So here another version, no more pseudo 3D! Simpler and now more consistant with the smaller version.

How about a little light highlight on the bottom edge?

This is definitely a positive direction from the previous shot!

Looks neat, maybe shorten up the arrow on the bottom and have you tried removing the lines?

@Michal Thanks, yes that's great advice.. I think it's also what @Thijs meant. Will try that.
