   I've been adapting an older favourite sketch of mine to give myself the capability to do a bit of remixing. Haven't quite figured out how to gaussian blur the larger marbles in the background, but that's on the to-do list. (Actually, I've figured out the blur, I just haven't quite gotten to the point where I can properly blend with non-blurred smaller marbles in the foreground. Off-screen buffers are becoming more and more important.)

   This is an in-progress shot, which seems to have a vaguely Takashi Murakami style to it. (Though, the palette of this particular frame is reminding me more of a Kawasaki painting.)

   Easier than I thought. Figured out what I was doing wrong and realized I could layer multiple marbles at multiple blur levels, creating a pseudo DOF-effect.

   It'll get even more interesting when I start pulling in output from previous sketches and start mixing and matching. This layered blur thing was a big step in that direction.
