This is actually just a quick visualization of the permissions concept - there are permissions that can be either turned on or off, but there are some that can be, say "full", "half/limited" or "none" (these aren't the actual values).

So these switchers are just one of the concepts I'm working on and that I'd like to get feedback on. Any thoughts?

Ah. A 3-way toggle. I'm working on a similar problem at the moment.

I think version 2 is more clearly a toggle control, although there is something about the form of the button (or floating shadow) that makes it look draggable. If that's not the intention, then perhaps you could add 3 notches of some kind to indicate that there are 3 different positions?

Either way, I like it :)

Also... version for looks like an 'And' switch when I think you need an 'Or' toggle?

Version 3, to me, is the most appropriate, least ambiguous, solution.

2 is my favorite, but did you think about different symbol for "none"? I think that empty circle could be better than this "remove" or "close" symbol ;)

4 - offers the most user forgiveness by adding a little space between them for mis-clicks / mis-presses. 3 is prettier, but function > form.
