So I tossed an earlier Toodle in a drawer until I can address some of the more controversial issues in my type handling... :P

Anyways, was messing with some vintage numbers and using flourishes as a framing element. Tuesday is doodle-day!

Ahh, love it. But obviously you should fix the spacing on.. just kidding ;) Love the heavy weight of these, that '9' is especially awesome. The ornamental frame is such a nice touch too.

Wow! Beautiful! The numbers are perfect themselves but the framing really adds to them! Great work :)

Sweet. I love upside down 2 sevens. Seriously, when i see them on old clock faces, just sick. Very nice.

    Thanks everyone!

@Claire - Much <3. You're always keeping me honest... I'll be sure to add some personal notes about my kerning from now on! :D

@kirk - totally agree, dude! I love those old clock faces; vintage numbers are boss.

Haha kirk, funny you mention the "upside-down" "two" sevens—they always made me feel so uneasy! Never could understand why. Just gives me a weird feeling for some reason.

Maybe I need to face my fears. =P

I think I'm a bit biased in liking this since 1978 is my birth year.

All of the elements here were hand drawn by Joshua Bullock, so this is basically a showcase of his masterpiece. He let me take care of the vectorizing and web layout, so any shortcomings there are on me.

Incredible. I working on something similar, numeral wise, working on a set for a tattoo I am plan to get for my son's birthday. These #'s would be stellar! 11.21.11 Makes for lots of possibilities! Great stuff as always man!

Joshua, you should go to the Fileteado Porteño (something like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/laugiraudo/1476714192/in/set-72157603947332675/)
