This is wonderful, Asher! One thing I might say, I think the curtain looks a little blurry at the bottom. The textures are fantastic, and I like the unique approach you've taken. Keep working on it, the perspective is perfect!
Something of a flash would be nice if you could fit it in, though it might get too crowded if you do; not sure.
The thread through the curtain is ace, but the curtain itself could use a little texture, just as subtle as you did the woodwork.
Maybe the lens could get that metal feel? Top of the curtain, not sure what's holding it :/ This and that and ur gold with the next version :D
Ah crap, I love everything about this, except from the curtain, as the other folks noted!
Simon is right. Besides, something don't work with this white button. But still - awsm work man! :)
Wow, I really like this. The concept is funny and the object is cute. The wood-texture is sweet and the lighting is slick. But I don't like the blue curtain... :/ Both because of the color and because of the shadowing vs. the bottom curves. I think it would have looked better by itself, though. It's also a bit like that on the lens part, in my opinion. It doesn't quite fit in with the organic wood stuff, and maybe it's too detailed/complicated (not the lens itself, but the dark gray cylinders). Or maybe it's better with another material, like metal. I don't know... But that part looks slickety-slick alone. :)
Just my opinion, anyway. Overall it's looking awesome.
Spectacular ^^ though I would suggest working on Pedjas suggestion.
Looks good but the metaphor seems to have a semantic error. How will someone get photographed when the lens is outside the room ?
WOW! Beautiful icon. Try another colours ;)
Efficient and clean icon.
I think the mixing of metaphors doesn't work here. Either turn it into a full-on booth, or a full-on camera. It's just too weird to have both as it works better as a camera than a photo booth.
Wow great idea!
You really know how to use wood textures
like your style！
This is pixel perfection.
Asher, your concept is outstanding! This is out of my mind when I thought about a photobooth icon...
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. My client came up with this idea of combining a camera with a photobooth. We used this image for inspiration.
I've made some changes to the icon; here's the update- http://d.pr/T33c
Asher, I really like the update, but the link you gave you are refering to as source of inspiration is the updated icon =P please correct it, I would love to see how you got inspired with this.
