Päärautatieasema – Helsinki Central railway station

I've set myself 7 days challenge to create a quick line illustration per day. The theme is architecture, so I've selected some of my favourite and maybe not so famous buildings around the world.

The second piece is Helsinki Central railway station (Helsingin päärautatieasema in Finnish). I've lived in Helsinki for 4 years and I really appreciate it's nordic art nouveau style.

The station building was designed by Eliel Saarinen and inaugurated in 1919. It has distinguishing two pairs of statues holding the spherical lamps, lit at night-time, on either side of the main entrance.
