This is really nice, have you tried something a little less symmetrical? Seems like antlers lend themselves to being asymmetrical but still balanced. Just a thought.
Love the concept Mike! I didn't see lawn or deer at first. I think the rounded nature of the concept throws it off a bit. Blades of grass and antlers usually have a little bit of a point to them—maybe that could help. Otherwise, I think you can still keep the symmetry!
Love the outcome of the mark. Its a very attractive one at that and very curious. However I agree with Jared about it not being that recognizable. Obviously coupled with type it would be more apparent :)
Nice looking mark! Just curious if the Lawn Deer is is about to loose it's antlers. It seems that the antlers are about to be chopped off to the same height as the grass blades. Not sure if that is the intention. What if there was some variety in the heights of the blades of grass? Would that integrate the antlers more and look less like they are about to be decapitated? Just food for thought :)
Heh, when I first looked at this, I saw it as a head-on view of a Big Wheel outfitted with antlers.
I agree with others in that, conceptually, it's very good, but that the roundness of the forms, and perhaps the exactness and symmetry of the execution is working against this.
