Gamification of Math - Online Learning

One of my favorite projects to work on where we helped struggling students in math improve their skills. The origami-theme represented math being "unfolded" and made easier. Students would "earn" and "unlock" avatars that were accompanied with folding diagrams of varying complexity. Credits were earned to play against the online community and the student's avatar would "hulk" into even bigger representations of their origami animals. A student could also earn accessories for their online personas and customize their avatar with hats, jewelry, sunglasses, tennis shoes, and more.
