I miss having huge tiny pixels to dribbble but this rewrite of the engine underlying Mimeo and the Kleptopus King has come a long way over the past three days. Mimeo on the desktop as well (or laptop as it were) seems more and more likely every day.
@Rich: I knew I should have animated through *all* the source files in the updated framework.
I bounce back and forth between production and reflection modes. Been in reflection mode for a while. Then three days ago I just started churning this out.
I'm glad to hear those of us without iOS devices might actually have a chance to play this. I know I've mentioned Android before, but after playing several different types of games on my phone, I've come to the conclusion that Android is a terrible platform for games (because of the four dedicated soft-buttons off to the side)
"Like" isn't a word I would use. "Tolerate," maybe. The problem with Objective-C/Cocoa/Xcode is that there's so much magic and it's all so very tightly coupled. SpaghettiCode. It hurts about as much as it helps. I guess you could say it's the Creative Suite of Apple development.
Agreed on the magic. The documentation is there and it works really well but my trouble with learning xcode and cocoa has been knowing the ingredients to make the "magic" happen. My colleague and I have opted to go the custom route to avoid dealing with a lot of the "magic" for our apps. I do really like Instruments though.

I'm just glad it's not animated because I still haven't fixed that. It is on my to-do list, but that list is reaching 5 figures.
It's been a while, great to have you shooting again.
