   To keep my creative mind fresh, I routinely conduct “logo experiments,” in which I create a purely hypothetical company, and then develop branding for it. The glaze logo came about from one such experiment. I had an idea in my mind of a trendy, upscale, cosmopolitan bakery that allows customers to glaze and decorate their own custom doughnuts using various base cake flavors, and a multitude of glaze flavors and toppings. Considering the nature of the business, I decided to name the bakery “glaze – A Boutique Doughnut Studio."

   After posting this up to the various logo showcase sites, I was approached by a mobile & desktop back-end app hosting & framework startup who was interested in purchasing the logo for their brand. While it would have been better suited to an actual bakery, the startup was really enthusiastic about the logo, so I sold it to them.

    Love everything about this Jon, just perfect! The logo is gorgeous and executed wonderfully. Colors are awesome as well. If I have one little suggestion (and it's very minor) it's that the 'z' is a little too thick. I would make it a little thinner for optical reasons and you have a winner man :)

    @Neil, yeah this logo is definitely large and in charge on their website.

    @Joe, thanks for the comments, man! Not much I can do about the Z now, as this thing's a done deal, but I'll keep that suggestion in mind the next time I happen to be working out a pseudo-ligature similar to this.
