I really like the custom script! My only suggestion would be to not track out the word Uganda so much. It hinders the readability. Also some sort of holding device for the word would strengthen your mark a little more.
I really like it as an illustration. Super well done. Can't say that with current day tech that it would be that hard to reproduce in various mediums. One thought I had is that it would look odd to place a new logo on their dated site. Hope the site is possibly getting a redesign as well
@ZeCraft Yessir I did a simple style guide today with logo variations : ) keep in mind this is highly styled version. It seems to work well as one color too.
I like it, but I think it leans a bit too heavily on the gradient effect for depth. Perhaps it would be better to use 'cuts' into the type for this? To show they overlap?
As said above, the tracking on Uganda is a bit too much, and combined with the all caps, it breaks with the mostly lower case illustration above it. Also, the 'vibe' usually connected to high tracking is more luxury brands instead of something that tries to be intimate.
The colors work very well though, also with the theme of the logo.
So that's my thoughts, hope they are helpful! Would love to see a monotone version of it as well!

That's cool. Very comtemporary. Much easier to read than the current logo.

Looks great! I think just going through the usual question of scalability, legibility and so on.

@Ryan Remnant will appear on its own quite a bit : ) readability should be ok. I like the idea of a container thanks!

Nice, but do you tried the reverse colors? darker brown on first layer, lighter brown on back?

soooo amazing. the depth of the font is rad. the wonky line work adds a kind of tribal look to it too.
