It seems like the exploded part of the diagram (below) has the layers reversed from the assembled diagram (above). Am I reading that right?
Oh...i see what you are saying. Yeah..I didn't mean for those to be two different samples. It is one chunk of soil dividing into layers as you go down. So the top section and the bottom section aren't separate. Thanks for asking. I might want to go back and make that clearer.
@Brad, in architectural drawings, the components usually explode upward, like this, but it seems better to have it go down since you're talking about underground stuff (but then again, maybe since all that stuff is being pulled up to the surface, it could go up).
