The final app icons for iOS and Mac. We’re getting much closer to release. Thanks for all the feedback on the previous icon.
The app has been making my life easier for months. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
Edit: These didn't end up being the final icons. A few more tweaks were made to both before release: Lighter shading on the iOS icon. Darker S on the Mac icon to match the iOS icon.
Skala Preview has been released.

Love the iOS icon :) I'm pretty curious what it will do :)
you tease!!! you're killing me!
I suppose it's going to be a Dribbble related app ;)
That's really beautiful. Digging the lightning.
They looks terrific ! Congrats dude !
@Edward Sanchez: Sorry. If it could be released now, it would be.
I'm at an unhealthy state of curiosity as to what this could be.
Beautiful icons, excellent work!
I'm hoping this will completely change the term "Beachballing" lol
Can't wait! :D
I WANT THIS.
I need to know what this is.
Cool Marc! My guess: it's something related to iPhone UI design & color management
Awesome job on the iOS icon!
Great work on both icons! :D
No idea what this will be, but I'm still quite excited… Can't wait!
This should be a textbook example of how to design Mac and iOS icon pairs ;)
Really love it!
I love it! How does the iOS icon look without the corner shadows?
@Jeff Broderick: Without the corner shading it looks a little flat to me (punchier colour though).
Here it is with shading turned off: http://yfrog.com/kjd0wap
@Pietro Desiato: Yep. Sort of. :)
I prefer that flatter version of the iOS icon. I think you could add a little shading back in, but the version in this shot looks odd to me. The way the corners sort of flatten out after curving down is what bugs me. I think if you moved the shading out more, to get rid of the lighter area in the corners, it would work better. Alternatively you could shade it consistently all the way around the edges—it would end up looking more like an inflated cube, but that could actually be kind of cool.
Aside from that: great, fun icons! Looking forwarding to seeing what they're for.
Love the icon! Awesome job with the shadow!
@Jeff Broderick, Mike Piontek: Final version has less shading on the corners. I think you guys are right. Means it looks a little more like the Mac icon, too. Thanks for the feedback.
