I didn't want to ruin the flow of the posters, and nowadays most applications requires a user interaction to find out more information about a specific item.
I like this mate, what about showing us maybe a hover state? So like on hover you get the movie name I take it?
My only fear is that its very similar colour wise to Letterbxd.
Mate, I think this looks sharp. Might be enhanced further perhaps with some subtle graphic cues from poster production bulldog clips (like how they dry screen prints) for example or having them become more tatty over time to indicate age. Might be overkill and rub against the minimal look your going for.
Trying to be constructive, I actually think it's pretty darn tasty already.
@Alan - I was thinking about doing a hover state, but was lacking ideas of how to present information without looking too much like letterboxd.
@Peter - I like the suggestion of making the poster perhaps a bit more tattier to indicate age. I will look into that one for sure!
