In all honesty, not too obvious... maybe if you made the dots smaller and put the number next to it maybe. That's how it's always done on connect the dots pages. Other than that everything else looks killer.
or what if you partially completed the puzzle with a dashed line and left maybe half the dots unconnected? not sure if that fits the direction your going but it may look cool?
Nah not too obvious too me. The connected-dot idea is kinde nice. It will help the user to get a little path. Maybe a little illustration with a hand moving one sample-dot? :-)

Unfortunately wouldn’t work. It’s for an interactive calendar, you connect the dots day by day. If it works out. You never know....
