New iOS bookmark icon for my website, which incorporates my new personal logo. Icon is currently live for anyone who bookmarks my website on their iOS device. Check the attachment for full image detail.
@gustomela: While I tried to recreate a standard, Moleskine-style notebook with spine on the left and band on the right, for the purpose of the icon, I don’t think it really matters what side it’s on. Right? ;)
@darianedwards: Sure! The texture on the notebook is a modified version of the black leather texture from subtlepatterns.com. The band was created with some noise and carefully positioned gradients.
Would anyone like me to make a blog post about my process?
@jimmynotjim Haha, yes! Thank you for your input, suggestions, and everything in between when I was working on my logo design. Couldn’t have done it without you, friend! :D Now, onto the painful process of a site design to go with the new logo. I promise not to Tweet-spam you this time; lol

Isn't the elastic band on the wrong side?
The rest is lovely, especially the textures :)

Would you be willing to give up some pointers on how you created that texture on the notebook?
