    I'm hoping I can get some feedback on this prelim process. Chibi is a indie comic label in Portland, Oregon. I know right off the bat you're thinking "Batman", but their mascot is actually a little monster. See the attached comps and the logo they're currently working with. I could use some new eyes on this. Been staring too long at it, Thanks!

    I like version A on your attachment better. Version B looks way too much like Batman which could lead to issues with DC later on. I know it's supposed to be their mascot, but it could still cause problems. Couldn't you just put their mascot in the "O" of comics instead? It might work better that way as a wordmark. Just my 2ยข.

    Yeah, I'd avoid the Batman thing. This gives you an opportunity to create a cool new little monster. I like the second mark better because the first one is too tied to paper books. Since this is a logo for a publisher, you'll want it to have longevity.
