BSC

I love Brush Script.

At first, when I started doing work for Standard Deluxe, I used Brush Script ironically. I saw a buddy using it, so I did too. It's not a great typeface, I thought. It's vernacular, though. It *feels* like a certain time and place. Then I found a fresh cut of it by ATF and I fell in for real for real love.

I used it recently for a client's identity system and part of the sell was to capitalize on the typeface's vernacular heft to help a blue candidate feel less, well, blue. I told him that this typeface was everywhere, from little league shirts to yard sale signs to business fronts. But I never proved it.

I ended up selling that identity, but decided to prove out my recommendation for my own curiosity.

So if you love BS like I do, follow along at the link below. I'd love to start including more BS instances from around the country and world tbph, so if you have one, send it on!
