I'm currently fleshing out ideas for a redesign of chrisspooner.com. Here's a couple of vintage style badge/emblem concepts that I'm thinking of using as a kind of logo. Feels a little like a cross between the Converse badge and a Jack Daniels label.
Oooh yes, completely my style (and I'm not talking about Jack Daniels ;-P).
Very funny though, cause I'm currently also working on a redesign of my 'blog-logo' and it has almost the same vintage style. Seeing this though, I'm ditching the jagged/serrated outer 'circle' out my redesign!
Love the look! Very nice. It looks like the R in Spooner is touching the inner circle. If you made 'Chris Spooner' just a bit smaller, you could move it a little to have an even amount negative space around it. (Although this is just a concept, so I am sure you will be working out those details.) Nice work!
Thanks everyone!
@Angela - I can't believe I've only just noticed that after reading your comment. It's typical that I've already included the error in a bunch of screenshots for Monday's tutorial and used it in my new web design concept for ChrisSpooner.com.

Excellent, I would love to see this as a realistic rubber stamp impression.
