Redesign underway. With proper documentation. Finally.
And, lest y'all think there's a catch: Below "What's the catch?" headline, the text reads...
"No catch. I'm a full-time web designer and front-end developer myself. These are templates I would be using regardless of if anyone else liked them. I've simply made them available free of charge, hoping others will find them helpful too."
Its a little bit hard to see the details on the zoomed out version. Have you tested having the 3 different header elements at the same column width as the content columns?
I'm not sure if it so much matters whether or not you go with the dark blue or the new white direction. Clean white can be nice too :) I think what helps the existing version more are the 3 big buttons that support the header and separate it from your content. The proposed version is so text heavy. I'd try to find a way to create more of a visual anchor at the top of the page to make it more visually interesting.
Both the previous blue and this white version will work. The previous dark blue showed off all the example sites well but if you are including more documentation with the rework then white would be better for longer reading sessions.
@Ted - To make it more than a one-pager site. I wanted to add some real documentation, and move the gallery off the home page (kind of heavy when most visitors are just going there to download the Zip file).
Though, since everyone seems to like the current look + feel, I guess I'll keep the blue when I do overhaul the site. The people have spoken! :)

@Kenneth - They actually are the same width. The semi-circle just makes it seem like they're different.

@Travis - You're the 4th person to say they liked the dark-blue better. I guess I'll have to re-work it. :)

Needs a donate button for people who want to give back for all your hard work on this. :)

Clean white can be brilliant. I think it's the dark blue text on white strikes me as off.

@Anton I owe Nathan thousands of dollars in time savings. He should have charged for 960 :)

Missing the darker theme too, if you dont bring it back, consider color banding horizontally for page sections (white/dark blue)?

The people have spoken. I will make it a dark theme. Happy? Sheesh! :)

Vote one more for missing the dark blue! Curious, why a redesign at all?
