Reworking a website for a chain of gyms. The pink (jagged) strip is inspired from a pair of Adidas trainers as are other textures.

I just MIGHT use the pink strip as a fading marquee. I saw it done the other day (can't remember where) and it was done right (JavaScript). It didn't hurt the eyes and it wasn't distracting.

I was thinking the menu overlay (a la http://www.panic.com/) might be a nice touch. We'll see.

Beautiful, colors play with each other very nice :).

Although, I would increase letter spacing in the menu at the top (I think 1px will do). That might be just something my eyes would love to se, but you can just try it and see if it's better.

    Very cool!

I don't think the Gym icon works here ... everything is so simple and proportional that the running man sort of throws it all off ... doesn't really feel part of the family.

Have you tried exploring a dumb bell? I think the thickness and simplicity of that icon could work better.

Nice, but the dark text on the pink strip doesn't work. And yes my display is bright - 27" iMac.

Text needs contrast. Maybe a lite pink or lite grey would work better?
