The right side of the O doesn't line up with the extension of the /\ graphic, making the entire logo unbalanced.

The S is too fat in comparison to the other letters.

The A is way too thin in comparison to the other letters.

The C has lost its curved shape that hugged the O. I loved that—it's the kind of thing logos can do, but normal typography can not. Its omission is a big loss.

The angle used in the Y and M no longer match the angle of the /\. Any angle that could, matches in the original. This is important as it makes the type feel like it belongs with the symbol above.

Kerning is incredibly inconsistent and way, way too tight for my liking. (The YM kerning pair in the original is that way so it creates a scalpel shape.)

Colours have been significantly changed, so that the orange is now yellow. The colours used in the real version related to Asymco's online charts, which is why they were chosen, so that link has now been broken.

I'm not suggesting my original logo is perfect, but to call my version "awful typography" and post this version is a bit insulting. I am all for rebounds, and I'm also happy for anyone to say whatever they choose about anything I post publicly (on Dribbble or wherever), but if you do, you may get a response like this.

The issue with doing a quick remake of a logo like this is that you're likely to miss the finer details and care that went into the original.
