Very nice brief. Don't know why, but somehow it reminds me of the way how an owl protects her little ones, attacking threatening birds up-side-down with claws pointing skywards. Very fascinating nevertheless.
Once again, thanks to everyone. It's so easy to get caught up in pixel pushing that I've really been trying to get back into drawing, thus the weekly doodle. I'd really love to snag a Cintiq tablet to really transfer my drawing to digital but the weekly doodles keep things simple and I get to just grab whatever's handy. Hopefully people get something out of it and even if not, it's an awesome exercise for me! :D
@Rogie - Thanks dude, really means a lot coming from you. I've literally followed your work for years - looking forward to catching up with you at SXSW. :)
Bollocks! That just looks too good... Wow. The swirls behind the owl give a really special sense of motion, love it. And I dig your short line style which really works out well in the wings.
@Rogie Truth! My vector stuff tends to be wrought primarily in Fireworks. Came across the Komodo Media site (probably around '06-'07 maybe), and fell in love with your work. ;)

Started in on this yesterday after reading this quote from Leo but couldn't get back to it until lunch today. The full quote:
...been so busy lately the freedom of flight seems amazing to me. Plus I dig owls and swirlies. :P

Purdy. Here's another owl-quote, "You have to stay awake, Eglantine, or the pure ones will moon blink us!"
