Pfft yeah right. I'm just a little bitty fish in a HUUUUGE pond. It's kind of a compliment, but I'm pissed at the same time. I don't understand why they think it looks like a letter h and letter p. It's clearly bp.

It's definitely angled more than 13 degrees.

I knew I saw HP's new logo somewhere before! Well, at least you should try for a compensation. Clearly Moving Brands didn't do their homework. As is the case with a lot of bigshot agencies lately. I hate their lecel of ignorance.

Have you got any prove or something that you've made it 6 years ago? Why did you change it? This is timeless...

Well, these comments on their new proposed logo makes me feel better at least.

"Looks like bp to me. My eyes look at the p.. and use the same guess of what the letter is for the previous letter...."

"Cool, BP has a new logo!"

"it can be construed too far away from HP, or BP, or LIP."

    "bp"

"It's not like you're going to be seeing this on oil rigs, gas stations, or other BP related entities. In context I don't think anyone will think "oh weird, BP is making computers now!"

"bp? hp? which one is it?"

    "I see it as bp."

    "bp?"

    "i read bp"

Yup. I should just put it back on my site with a quote that says "I had it first". :)

I'd put it up with a date stamp on it.

Wow! Good story. You should at least try to contact them and see of they can ship some HP goodies in compensation ;-) A new laptop or a printer.

Brian, why the F did you stop using this mark? Like someone already mentioned, it is timeless.

I had no idea you used to rock this.

Putting it back up on your site with a timestamp or something would be cool.

And start using this again... are you nuts?! ;)

Thanks Emir. Love hearing stuff like this. Yeah I've still got some old business cards printed and a slick poster in my office but I guess just over the years I got bored with it. That's why it's always good to post your work to get feedback from other designers I guess. :)

Is your's the magical 13° -- if so, I'd ask for 13% in royalties :)

In light of recent stunts, I'd put it back up on your site along with photographs of proof-dated, printed materials. Like.. if you have an invoice or something like that.

This is the stage where Moving Brands and HP needs to become aware of this.

LOL...oh my goodness. What amazes me is it looks like MB broke an NDA, I would say thats a major no no when working with the top end of town.
