working on some new logo options for my firm. we're going old-school machine shop on this re-brand. this is still a work in progress, but suggestions are welcome!
The "f" is HUGE. Will you be using just the F-mark, or the F in the circle, in any branding applications? Right now I feel like it takes precedence over FORGE, which could be perfect if that's what you want to move towards.
Looking really great. If you follow through with using the F solo sometimes and as the primary mark I think this is an amazing supporting piece that further elaborates your desired aesthetic. Killer job!
Actually, I feel like there's a disconnect between the upper half of the design and the lower. The F and 2009 are really cool. The word FORGE and ideas is a nice mix of contrasting typographic styles. I just don't think it's all fitting together well. The bottom of the circle feels uncomfortable near the word FORGE.
Overall, I really dig the industrial style. I say keep going!
I really love this. I don't see any disconnect and I think the entire piece is coming across really well. The only problem I see is that your lines under the F aren't concentric. Otherwise it looks amazing.

thanks dudes.
@David yeah we plan to use that F + circle on a lot of things...that's the primary mark in my opinion.
