Trying out something a little different, nav bar at the top. I find it actually feels more natural than having it at the bottom, much easier to tap your way through the app!

Feedback is really appreciated so let me know what you think in the comments! :)

Like the idea; would seem logical. Would it not be affected by the auto 'jump-to-top' function? or possibly Notification Center?

Love the super-subtle texture though =D

Looks great, the kerning between the 5-0-1 looks a bit mad though!

I actually like the nav at the top. I would double check with what @Tom said about it being affected by other ui elements..

I would like to see some more contrast between the total time section and the more details section, but great start!

    Cheers for the feedback guys!

@Tom: It won't be affected by the jump to top function, as all the content will fit on the iPhone without the need to scroll. The notification centre will affect it, however fit affects most apps - I'm always trying to push a button in the top bar and I get an alert! Pretty annoying, but not much we can do about that! I'm also thinking of making it possible to slide left and right to change which item on the tab bar is currently being viewed, so that the navigation isn't the only way to navigate around the app. What do you think?

@Luke: Cheers man! Aye, you're right! Haven't touched that yet apart from chucking it in there. Thinking of finding an awesome font for it too - just using Impact at the moment. Any suggestions? ;)

@Shane: Thanks Shane, I like it at the top too. It feels more natural when it's on the phone, easier to reach and you don't hide the icons with your thumb when hovering over them! I'll experiment with some more contrast between the two sections. Thanks! :)

Yes absolutely, FourSquare have implemented something kinda similar on their App in the Discover function, works really well there. :-)

Oh do, it gets a little addictive though.

The slide left and right feature would be pretty cool, as long as you are not using swipes to interact with the content as well, then it could get confusing.

@Tom I'm liking Path at the moment, which has check in features. What do you think of it? You had a play?

@Shane Thanks for the feedback - only the map screen will really have an issue with this!

This is how users will be able to change what map they're currently viewing. I think some nice animation will come out of this - see full size and please leave a comment letting me know what you think. All feedback is appreciated!
