Not as often as I should. I love doing it though, it really helps stimulate conversation with clients about why these designs were compiled, what makes them relevant to the project, and why they should go a certain direction.
Typically I start with my memory, trying to recall sites that are relevant to the particular project I'm working on, then I will start looking around at CSS galleries and/or Logopond gathering inspiring designs. After that I start looking for simple colors, textures, illustrations, whatever fits the "mood" I'm looking for.

Working on a "mood board" of sorts. Compiling sites that have a combination of elements, styles, layout that may fit the bill for a project.

Are you using any web app for this?

Nope, just copy/pasting into Photoshop.

Just finished a moodboard for a project I'm currently working on.
Great way of quickly getting a lot of design styles to get inspiration from.

Do you often do this for projects? I've thought about doing it a few times before but never ended up going ahead with it for one reason or another.

Really good moodboard Chris. I have to try doing that for my next project. Where do you start ? When you look for inspiration ?
