F is for Fort Wayne Daisies

The Fort Wayne Daisies played out of Fort Wayne, Indiana in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The team debuted in ’45, and played a role in the survival of baseball during World War II. The Daisies never did win a title, however they did set a league record with 6 batting crowns in their 9 years of play.
