Great work. What's your thinking on the search area? I like the style, but often feel like search's like that aren't all that usable, but audience is a big part of if that's relevant or not :)

@Matthew: My intention is to have the text "search" be replaced as the user types what they are searching. Searching will be an important feature of the site, so I want to make sure it's usable and beneficial to the user. Are you thinking that it's just under-treated in contrast to the nav? Thanks for your thoughts!
