Sexy as always. Nice work. I have a couple notes/suggestions, if you're cool with that... (do you really have a choice? ;-)
The 2nd row works best (of the 3 options) because of the ample whitespace around the lock. However, the circle around it takes away from the shape recognition.
I like the unlocked version with swinged-out lock mechanism even better. It shows "unlocked" better than the version that's merely pulled out of the socket.
But the important thing to distinguish is whether it's locked or not. So I suggest making the lock the primary focus, rather than the person being primary and the lock being secondary.
How about trying the lock as bigger object with the person on the inside of the brick part? That could work pretty well, I would imagine.
They're all very beautiful - I am concerned about the visibility of the status though, the difference between open and closed is not always easy to see at a glance.
I have to agree, the top row is best. For the unlocked version, the swinged-out lock is more recognisable.
I think Jason is right though. If this is intended as a status indicator, the lock should be the primary symbol. Jasons idea could work quite well then.
Another idea could be to make it look like the "Add user" icon you dribbbled before with the lock in the edge so it would be consistent.
Besides that, all your glyphs are definitely among the best I have ever seen.
I'd say the bottom row because it is simpler. I like the swinged out version because it is visually distinct from the locked icon. Unfortunately it also looks unbalanced, but maybe that is an acceptable trade off.

Just experimenting with lock shapes and placement. Liking how they're coming out overall though :)

I've no idea which to go for. I'm liking the bottom row myself. All fantastic.

I prefer the bottom row because there's less visual noise, but all three are gorgeous.

I like the top row. The circles create a focus on the center glyph in my opinion.

Awesome work. Looks like its for an Apple product. Is it? Top row is best, however if these icons are going to get smaller, middle row is better.

Ipick the second row, but prefer the swinged-out lock, specially if these are intended for small screens. Keep it up!

First row, for the continuity.

Playing around with some lock ideas after reading the comments people have left on the original shot. Now to introduce the user icon again. :)
