As christmas gifts to my family I thought I'd give tote bags with a family crest screen printed on. This is how the crest is looking so far. Unsure if I should add more detail or not.
Whoa, so many comments, hadn't expected that, haha. Thanks to all of you!
Guido: I agree, the swirls could definitely use just a lil bit more detail.
David: Oh my... I hope I'll have better luck with my family!
Welcome to Dribbble! I agree about the swirls. I would tighten them up a bit, or take them out altogether. I might try the bottom text in all caps as well to match the top area a bit more. I know the line is a little long, so you might have to shorten it a bit, maybe something like EST. 1983 SWEDEN. Also, if your family was Est. in 1983, you have a pretty young family!
Thanks! Hmm, I think you're right about having it in all caps, but I think it has to say "in Sweden", since the story behind it is that my father moved from the states in 83 to live with my mother in Sweden. Dunno if moving qualifies as establishing the name in Sweden though, maybe it should be the year they got married or the year I was born...
And here's the end product! The other prints were unfortunately not as good as this one, but it was my first time ever screen printing on fabric. I'm quite pleased with the overall final result.

The swirls to the sides seem to be a bit "pale", maybe add detail there? Rest looks amazing!

I did a Family crest a few years back - they hated it so I killed them all.
Nice work.
