Baleen Whale

Resurrecting a student project of mine from a Typography 1 class I took my freshman year of undergraduate study in design at GMU in Fairfax, VA. The project was to create a themed series of twelve character marks using one font with the added constraints of relying solely on individual letters, shape, and positive & negative space. I've touched up the corners on the letters and crafted a new color palette to represent each whale. In alphabetical order, we start with the baleen whale. Mysticeti: there are 15 species of baleen whale, many of which are featured in this series. Enjoy! 🐳
