   Eveytime I look at the Find My Friends app or on the new iCal on Lion I feel like we are finally in texture hell. That "leather" in the Find My Friends app just reminds me too much of skin, so I simply had to do this :)

   now that I think about it, doesn't the zootool iOS app feature "rich" wood textures on many interface elements. where do you draw the line?

   @Arno totally!! I've been a big fan of that style for ages but it is just not working for me anymore. It's like eating way too much of your favorite cake. I'm already working on a new version of ZT and you definitely won't find any wood or other bold textures in there anymore.

    Great shot, haha. I totally agree re: textures, and Apple (particularly with iOS) seems to be a big offender. The textures (and typography) in Game Center are just awful.
