   Is it just me, or does the color schemes of the two elements not go together? The menu looks modern and the wood is a little distressed and just doesn't jive...

   Smooth & clean design as always, buddy.

   But... I think it would look much better without the wooden texture. Don't get me wrong, I like the wooden texture and I think Matthew did a great job creating it but lately it's being used way too much that there's nothing unique about it anymore. Also, I think it kind of ruins your beautiful sidebar. They don't work well together. So I'd suggest a cleaner texture for the background. Maybe something fabric?

    Thanks peeps, this is turning out to be quite fun to design - a bit different from my norm.

    @Fazard - I hear ya. I thought it might be considered overused but man I love it, can't deny it. The good thing is that there are 3 versions planned, dark, light and wood - I'm sure some nice textures will come into play later.

    Looks good, I just think the dark type on the wood doesn't look like its part of the wood, it kinda looks separate to me. I would maybe lighten the color so its a closer tone to the star and underline.
