    Spent my holiday working to finish this painting. It's simply a personal project. One that @Rogie pumped me up to get done. (thanks man) I spent my teen years drawing wildlife and selling at local art shows in PA. This kinda takes me back to my roots a bit.

    I'm going to shelf it for a day or so and then probably refine some details then I'll be making prints available for those interested in giving it as gifts for the holidays. It's a super high res painting so please give me an idea of print sizes people may be interested in.

    Painted in Photoshop and Painter11 with a Cintiq.

    I almost lost it with all the fur and fluff in my Big Hugs thing, but those feathers are something else entirely. Lots of smudge tool in there?

    I'm making the switch over to painter12 since it's now faster. The blenders are nice for that sort of thing.

    So is that a recommendation for Painter? I've been reaching the conclusion that Photoshop really isn't the ideal for this sort of work.

    Ya know. I am not trying to sell anyone on it Phineas. It's working for me. I don't trust Adobe anymore and am starting to prefer the way Painter mimics traditional media. Let me know if you wanna skype for more info.
