Decided to strip this email of all the crap that was in it down to the bare minimum. I think it's actually a lot better, save for a few minor things.

How does it look without the paper texture?

@Jeff: Not too bad, loses a bit of conceptual consistency. Being someone who doesn't do very skeuomorphic designs much, my thinking is that if you're gonna do it, you've gotta go all the way (although the paper could use some dialing back).

Texture is a bit heavy, but I see more issue with the button that stylistically just doesn't match the rest of the design. Especially its black top edge.

Yeah, I lightened the texture a lot and I think that fixed that problem. Trying to figure out what to do about the button now. It was underneath the sheet before, but it wasn't nearly as visually prominent as the sheet there. It doesn't help that it's the most important aspect of the whole email though :P

Yeah, I don't envy you. There are no clickable elements in printed materials :)

I guess you can flatten the button, converting it into a colored patch of paper (or a ribbon that wraps around the bottom edge) and then add a handwritten note saying ClickHere with an arrow pointing at the button. Kludgy, but will hold stylistically.
