So this is the very first time I create an iPhone icon. After hours of carefully crafting pixels in Illustrator & Photoshop, this is what I came up with.
Nice. I like the abstractly figurative white shapes. I like the shadow within the white flame/head on the small icon.
The red glow along the bottom edge feels strange to me. If it's supposed to be reflective light, then it should extend toward the lower corners. Otherwise, it looks like the entire red background awkwardly dents inward just below the white shape. Unless that's what you're going for.
Thanks guys. I'm hesitant to move it up more becuse the tip (which you can't really see from this shot) is really thin. But I'll try it.
@Henry not final yet. Dribbble feedback has worked so well for my projects so whatever feedback I can get will help contribute towards the final version.
And @Ryan & @Ismael you're right! I'll get right on that.
Aww thanks Skylar. Yes, once again, I made this on my work computer which is a different Apple Display than the one I have at home. Definitely could be toned down.
Another thing I noticed is that on the small icon the edges of the logo look a tad jagged. Need to get those to look smoother.
Awesome! I was a worship leader at IHOP-Michiana in Indiana for several years before we moved back to Detroit, we're planning a trip down to IHOP-KC in August we'll have to meet up!

Amazing work Gedy. Is this the final version?

Great first effort Gedy. I agree with Dan that the flame could move up slightly.

Gedy you cease to amaze me. One thing you might consider doing is bring down the vibrancy of the red line. Other than that, it owns!

Hey all - question: Do you know how to bypass Apple's ugly icon glare on Apple mobile devices?

This might help =)

I like it! The inner shading makes it feel a little indented though, may not be the case when it's on an actual iPhone. ;)

Thanks Krystyn! I totally agree with you. On the final version, I removed the inner shadow. Great minds think alike.
