Blue Jackets Score: December 27, 2016

Game 33 / Check out the whole project here

Yes the score is positive, we won again at Nationwide to make it 13 in a row, but if you watched the post-game interview with Tortorella you wouldn't be as happy. The beauty of Tortz is that he does not get caught up in the excitement of winning - he critically looks at the flaws that we can improve to produce more wins. And honestly, he was right about last night. Just watching the game you could tell the Jackets were sloppy. Yes, they scored 3 unanswered goals in the first period (and boy do I love watching Calvert score basically unassisted and Hartnell poke one in after being checked), but they also allowed Boston to come back and score 3 of their own. There were a plethora of turnovers and opportunities just handed to Boston and we were outshot in every period (18-8 in the second). After spending the end of the second and half of the third period being tied, Nick Foligno scored for the Jackets on a PP sweep around from behind the net. They fought vigorously for the last 2 minutes of the game when Boston pulled Tuukka Rask from the goal and was able to shut the door on OT.

Game Highlights:
-This was the first time Bob has won against Boston, which means he has now beaten every NHL team
-The Jackets are only the ninth team in the 99-year history of the NHL to have won 13 games in a row
-We are unbeaten in the month on December with 2 games left (the Jets and the Wild - who is currently riding an 11 game winning streak)
