    Oh that's a cool effect. I made something similar this summer for a ski website and I haven't seen it anywhere else until now, with the thumbnail photo having a semi-transparent arrow overlaid and pointing up at the larger version:

    I would for sure. You don't want to know how much work I put into my custom portfolio page and how hard it is to maintain, so I can see using something like this instead. I made my own because I couldn't find anything that worked the way I wanted, at the time.
