A numeral set I had been working on to potentially replace the current numerals used by Major League Soccer. The dot pattern that fades toward the top would have been punched out of the numeral to decrease weight, increase moisture transfer and eliminate air bubbles during application. Project dead ended along the line.
These numerals have just the right amount of "modern" type elements while still having a sense of class. I don't think the MLS could/should pull off a more "classic" type (like the BPL's numerals), not at least while still using the current MLS logo.

What a shame. Their current numerals are barely legible, let alone completely horrid. Adidas needs to listen to you more. :)

I think the stall happened after talks with the league, so I hope they at least got to see them.

Hmm... interesting... With some of the great branding work that has come out of the MLS recently, I'm a little surprised that it stalled on their end.

They probably still have intentions to update their numerals; it seems like it's about due. I'm just not sure with what.
