    I'v been working on this for couple of days, re-did the ruler and pencil twice. I think I finally got it where I want.

    Not sure what the perspective of the pencil suggests. It seems to be a mind fuck. Also, I think I would like a more yellowish tint to it.

    Much dig the pencil's color. But the perspective still bothers. It feels when you look at the left side that, its lying on the paper, but when you look at it's bottom, it feels as if its standing at a write-ready position.

    Hovering pencil or a bent pencil. One thing's for sure, that silly pencil isn't obeying the laws of physics. :)

    Love the ruler and the colors!

    Also, some of the shadows, http://d.pr/Y5l3, make me feel like the paper are hovering.

    I like it!

    In relation to the pencil perspective, what I think is the issue is the metallic grooves near the eraser end. They curve towards us, when I think they should almost be going in the opposite direction. You could also curve the top of the eraser too to match.

    @Morgan Carmont, nice logo! I like this one even better than the original Xcode icon. But I would suggest that the pencil and the ruler could form the X letter more clearly.
