    Solid or outlined with detail? I feel like this would be better for a large print design.

    I think solid kills. If you made the middle section, nose area a bit smaller, I think it would pop a bit more. I saw the skull in solid version, and not at all in the outlined.Maybe the DOSE a bit tighter/closer to make the teeth more pronounced?
